How long has your company been producing events? What is your main focus?
Our main focus is on creating memorable and resonating live experiences that bring brands and meetings to life. We use our creativity and intimate production knowledge to create effective, seamless & immersive events.
What do you enjoy most about your role in corporate event planning?
Working with different types of brands and learning what makes them tick. Designing ‘never before’ concepts that organically create an emotional connection with the audience.
Working with passionate suppliers and friends that effectively and consistently achieve the impossible.
Taking an idea from a sketch on a napkin to the reality of a complex and multi-facetted, award-winning project.
How do you keep up with the constant change in the industry?
- Trade publications
- Industry events and trade show
- Design blogs
How do you mix the current trends with the traditional to create a meeting that is engaging and informative?
Harnessing the power of interactive multimedia and new applications to connect further with guests and attendees. Ensuring that the spectacular use of sound, lighting, and video enhances the message of the meeting and does not cloud it.
Do you have any advice for a company having a hard time choosing a theme? Is a theme necessary?
A theme should be something that all audience members can connect with. It can be kitschy but it also can be abstract. Don’t be afraid to be bold and different.
What are some ways to personalize a corporate event?
- Unique Gifting and invites
- Custom Video production that includes key stakeholders and C level executives as actors
- Great opportunities to socialize and build connections with other guests
What do you see as the corporate event industry’s greatest challenge, currently?
It’s hard to produce events at a time when the government deems them illegal.
How do you leverage event technology and what would you consider the biggest game-changer?
The future is in immersive video, VR, and AR.
Bring events to life with tools and technologies that break the 4th wall, get your audience to interact with speakers and each other through apps and collaborative gamification.
Have you used Gamification in your events? If yes, how was it received?
Teams that play together, stay together.
What is your favorite city for events and why?
I love Chicago! Great meeting & event venues, exceptional culinary options, and beautiful views.
What are some practices to follow that will help you to create the Wow factor that attendees seek with a limited budget?
Spread out your budget! Every ingredient is important when you are baking a cake or building an event. Wow factors can sometimes be created through the use of spectacular technologies, but they can also be achieved by personalizing your event and using the talent of your own meeting’s attendees.
Sustainability is a current movement that can be challenging for large events. What is your approach?
Work with suppliers to ensure that it is a priority. The meeting and events industry is responsible for much-uneeded waste but we can also be the leaders in sustainability if we all agree to make it a priority.
How do you measure the success of an event?
If my client’s goals are exceeded and their message received loud and clear.
